It’s time to plan your next corporate team building event, and you’ve exhausted all of your options.  Are you ready for something new? An escape room is a unique and exciting idea for your next outing, and here are some tips to help with planning it out:

Tips for Planning Your Escape Room Corporate Team Building Event

Some prep work to consider

  1. Determine how many people will be attending – Our escape rooms can accommodate up to 6, 8 or 10 people each.  Would you like to have all the participants in one room?  Would they mind splitting the group into different rooms?  Start with deciding whether you would need 1 room, 2 rooms etc.
  2. Choose the theme – Before you book, consider reaching out to participants to see if they have already played the room.  If it was a long time ago, they may not mind playing it again.
  3. Ensure participants are ok with signing the waiver –  Upon arrival, participants will need to sign a waiver which allows them to participate.

Now it’s time to book!

  1. Choose a versatile theme – Horror may not be a good choice here. Choose one of Escape From the 6’s family friendly themes and make sure the difficulty level is appropriate for the experience of the group.
  2. Talk to us – If you have specific questions regarding the escape room experience, don’t hesitate to talk to an Escape From the 6 staff member, we are happy to help!  You can give us a call at (905) 607-6868, or email us at escapefromthe6@gmail.com, and we’ll be ready to assist you.
  3. Respect the recommended group sizes –  Our escape rooms designers create their puzzles and game flow with a particular group size in mind.  Also, for safety reasons there may be capacity limits for the specific escape room chosen.  Make sure you abide by the recommendations in order to have the best experience possible.

Lastly…

  1. What about food and snacks? – Be sure to reserve our complimentary 1 hour party room after your escape room experience, you will be able to bring in food of your choice as well as drinks and snacks.  Make sure to also bring in cutlery, napkins and cups (if required).
  2. Have a meeting?  – If you require the meeting room for a longer period of time, we can accommodate your group at a charge of $75.00+tax per extra hour, and $37.50+tax per extra half hour.
  3. Do the escape room first – If your team is going off site to have food, make sure to have the escape room experience first.  Unlike restaurants, our escape rooms are timed fairly precisely.  It’s also a great opportunity to debrief and chat about the experience afterwards.
